faq's

  • What will my costs be?

The only costs come after you have been offered and accepted a role. This will include the cost of your Working Holiday Visa in your country of choice (see visa information below). In addition to that will be the cost of your airfare. That can be a one way airfare there, with a return trip and routing to be determined by you while away. You may also choose a roundtrip airfare and depending on the airfare you may have the flexibility to change your return date and routing home. Once you arrive, you will be responsible for your accommodation and other costs like mobile phone plan, transportation while there, groceries, hospitality/entertainment/travel.

  • Who books my flights?

EnvoyGolf will coordinate flights with our preferred airline partners. These flights with top tier airlines will be at competitive prices, one way or return. We recommend all participants allow us to book and coordinate these flights. We use a dedicated travel management company that we have worked with for a number of years. In the event of any issues, flight cancellations, or delays, they will be able to assist you. While cheaper online tickets may be available, they are often through 3rd party providers that you cannot contact in the event of an issue. With ongoing challenges with international flights, we believe booking through our agent is the best option for you.

  • Do I have to submit a Hinterview video application in addition to my resume?

We strongly recommend that you do as it provides you with the best chance to present yourself as a potential employee. It provides the potential employers with a much greater insight into you as a person and they use these videos to select who

    they bring forward to interview.

  • Why can I not see specific jobs when I look at your Find a Job section?

With this programme, we recruit people into roles in different countries to where they live. So the first step is to ensure that someone is eligible for the relevant visas to allow them to work in those countries. Once this is established and confirmed, we then release specific job listings and locations in those countries where they are eligible to work. If someone does not have the right to work in the

countries where we hold jobs, then unfortunately we cannot assist them.

  • Who will I live with and where?

This will be dependent on the location and your preference. Some golf clubs do provide dedicated accommodation, but most do not and accommodation alternatives will vary from location to location. So you may choose to live with others doing what you are doing or find a room in a shared apartment or house through various accommodation platforms like Flatmates.com.

  • How do I know if I’m eligible for a Working Holiday Visa?

  • If I am eligible to work in more than one country can I apply for jobs in more than one country?

Yes, once your right to work has been established for one or more countries, we will release jobs to you for any of those countries for which you can apply.

  • Who can I contact in case of an emergency while overseas?

You can contact either your employing golf club or us here at EnvoyGolf and we will assist in whatever way we can. At the start of your employment, we will also ask you to provide an Emergency contact from back home and suggest you provide our contact details to your family or other contacts in case they are unable to make contact with you for any reason.

  • Will I be able to travel outside of work?

What you do with your free time is entirely up to you! With a regular schedule, you will be able to travel and explore the country you’re working in during your time off if you desire to do so. Adventure awaits!

  • Is there an opportunity for full-time employment?

If you decide you would like to stay longer term and explore the opportunity to gain full-time ongoing employment, then you should contact your employing golf club and/or us here at EnvoyGolf. Your ability to stay longer on a full-time basis will depend on your eligibility for relevant visas that will allow you to do that.

  • How long do I have to work if I take a job?

The amount of time you wish to work is up to you and employers. The Working Holiday Maker Visa or equivalent determines the maximum duration you are eligible to work in a particular country and employer. The conditions of the visas vary from country to country. It is your choice whether to take advantage of the entirety of the visa or stay for a shorter time period. Though the longer you stay and work, the greater your income and experience in working and living in another country.
