About the Club and Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role on the course maintenance team of one of Sydney's most prestigious private golf clubs, renowned for the excellent presentation of its outstanding championship 18-hole course and grounds.
Situated in the northern suburbs its spectacular outlook and proximity to some of Australia's best city beaches all add to the attraction of this role.
Working with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, within this highly regarded and well-resourced organisation, you will be a key contributor to the overall performance of the team.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
- Staff supervision and ‘hands on’ team leadership, ensuring high performance, adherence to standards and team member development.
- Managing irrigation and other golf course management systems and implement chemical application programme to ensure optimal turf health.
- Overseeing both day to day course maintenance operations and specific projects and programmes as agreed and maintaining required records.
- Contribute to overall course maintenance planning and budgeting and equipment maintenance and upgrades.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
-You will have a minimum 5 years of experience in golf course maintenance.
- Relevant turf management qualifications.
- Expertise in turf management practices and chemical applications.
- Proficient in Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations and environmental stewardship.
- Strong leadership abilities, including team management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
