Carl is uniquely qualified to work with EnvoyGolf. He was one of the participants in the pilot programme in the 2019/2020 season, coming to Australia from Sweden to work at Avondale Golf Club. After working there over the summer, he decided to stay on and in October this season he started with EnvoyGolf.
Carl comes from a golfing family. He grew up in a town in the south of Sweden called Vastervik, where amongst other business interests his family own the local golf course.
From an early age he was playing golf and at 11 was playing to a handicap of 10. At 13 he started working on the family golf course and did so every season up until when he moved to Australia. Through this time he worked in all different areas of the operation and developed a strong interest in furthering his knowledge and experience in the golf industry. He also qualified through the Swedish Greenkeepers Association.
From his experience working on golf courses in Sweden and here, he has a 'hands on' understanding of both what Superintendents are looking for in their staff and the role of the greenkeeper. He also provides EnvoyGolf with a multi lingual capability and a strong connection back into the market of young greenkeepers in the Nordics.
