Contract: Mid-November 2025 – April 2026 (possible extension to May 2026) Robertson Lodges’ iconic Kauri Cliffs seeks an experienced Head Golf Professional to lead golf operations through the peak season. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the world’s most celebrated golf destinations, delivering a world-class guest experience across course, lodge, and club facilities.
 
The role

  • Lead day-to-day golf operations for a busy, high-end destination property.
  • Manage and motivate a team of ~8, building a strong service culture and ensuring seamless guest experiences.
  • Oversee Pro Shop operations, including merchandise presentation and stock control.
  • Manage budgets, P&L responsibility, and operational reporting directly to the CEO (based offshore).
  • Ensure service and operational standards are maintained through a busy peak season.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven leadership experience running a high-end golf operation (not a 2IC stepping up).
  • Confident decision-maker, able to work autonomously with remote reporting.
  • Strong financial and retail management background (P&L, Pro Shop, stock).
  • Adaptable and resilient — comfortable working in a bespoke environment with changeable demands.
  • Guest-first mentality, willing to go above and beyond to deliver world-class experiences.
